Chairman's Message

The polytechnic , named after the eminent historian, statesman and patriot "RAJAJI" (C.Rajagopalachari), was founded in 1985 by the Salem Tambras Charitable Trust. It was inaugurated on 13 th October 1985 by Uva Mukkur Lakshmi Narasimhachair and Pulavar Keeran AND C.G. Venkataraman, Chairman, TAMBRAS TRUST.

The institute is approved by the AICTE, and is a certified center to offer Pearson VUE's prometric services, which include international certification exams like A+, CCNA, MCSD,MCSE. Additionally, the college has accreditation to conduct programs under CANADA INDIA INSTITUTIONAL CO-OPERATION PROJECT.

Though the incipient phase of the institute was under a single body of governance namely the Tambras trust, the vision of the pioneers, the growing prospects of the institute brought in more number of organizations ,philanthropists and individuals of repute for participation . Since then, the Board Of Trustees and the Governing Council has grown to a strength, praiseworthy of the able leadership of Shri M.V. RENGARAJAN (Chairman & Correspondent).

Shri M.V Rengarajan, a renowned practicing Chartered Accountant at Salem, strived to realize and materialize the vision of the Pioneers- to start an institution that would transcend the distinctions of the society , and impart education to one and all. A system, that would reach out to every knowledge aspirant, irrespective of his social /economic status, thus underlining the true value of education : "Impart knowledge to the worthy and gain the true wealth of wisdom".

Today, the institute stands high on 26 acres of land, with a faculty strength of 60, having both experience and expertise in their respective fields. With a tutor-student ratio of 1 : 20 , the faculty and the management, are spearheaded to bring out the best in each student and make them viable in the job market.
